A very busy past months, tackling new approaches and new mediums. It’s been a long journey for me to find an art process which truly expresses who I am.
It’s not just about the image it has a lot to do with how the image is made.
The funny thing is that what I have been moving more and more towards is something that has always been there. My earliest recollection is playing with paper.
Drawing on the blank sides of my fathers worksheets, flipping through the pages and scribbling on golden books, cutting and gluing paper, wetting and transferring pen drawing onto paper and, even making paper. It’s malleable and comes in many different properties, thicknesses and texture.
Texture and drawing are anther aspect to collage making that I’m very passionate about. There is so much to explore and so much fun to be had.
