I am a mixed media artist, illustrator, and a maker of original large and small, hand-painted art-dolls. My studio is nestled amongst large gums and untouched bushland located on the upper eastern shores of the Derwent River.

I have been a full-time career artist since 2006, building up a following with my whimsical landscapes and art-dolls which have sold worldwide.

My work is inspired by the Australian landscape. The contrast of colours found in the natural environment, the twisty limbs of trees and the beguiling and mysteriousness of our fauna are what excites me. Using a variety of mediums in my art has given me creative freedom. I can combine my drawings with found  objects and paint to achieve a feeling of how I see and feel the world around me.

I have a passion for found objects and fabrics which I incorporate into my work to create contrast between textures and pattern.

So excited to have been asked to host 2 workshops at the Grampian Arts. I know some brilliant artists from Tasmania that have taught there, I never thought that I would be teaching there too. I'm really looking forward to next 2021!
