Day Five: International Nature Journal Week

Fruiting And Dispersal

So many seeds are dispersed by birds, this is both a good and a bad thing. The lovely green rosellas has become quite fond of the berries of cotoneasters, an introduced species that is out of control throughout Tasmania. Dispersed by animals, waterways and wind are holly, ivy, African boxthorn, gorse, Montpellier broom and digitalis (foxgloves) and many, many others.
