Lady Franklin was the second wife of the Arctic explorer Sir John Franklin, they traveled to Van Diemen’s Land, (Tasmania), in 1837. She was an adventurer and explorer. In 1910 she funded the Lady Franklin Museum and Library

Mediums vary from painting to painting, using art papers, coloured pencils and pastels, acrylic paints and mediums. All works are sealed with a layer of bee wax.
All paintings are unframed, painting continues down all four sides.
