Reasons to Be Cheerful

With so much unhappiness and uncertainty in the world, there is so much to be grateful for.
I am so grateful to have the support of my art community and to the many people worldwide that have purchased my artwork and art dolls. Over the years, I have had tremendous support from friends and strangers offering fabrics, paper paints and even sewing machines.
One such gift which recently arrived, completely took me by surprise...over two weeks' boxes after the box arrived, full of the most exquisite fabrics, trims and buttons...and a few unexpected items!

I am so grateful to Jenny, for her gracious generosity. I have already, in my mind made plans for some of the items, which I am looking forward to starting soon.
But in the meantime I want to share some of the samples of fabrics, buttons and lace, they are such fun to photograph!

Pink vintage silk bodice with vintage. I love seeing how these items were sewn together, very interesting.

Vintage crochet cotton fancies and fine cotton laced silk cuffs.

Delicate embroidered roses on organza trims, bright egg yolk yellow silk!

More dainty trims.
I am not 100% sure what most of the textiles are, so some of these terms I made up!
Who knows what these textiles will turn into but one thing I know for sure is, I wont be running out of supplies in a hurry!
