Artist Camp, Lake Dobson

What a thrill it was to be invited by Julie Payne to join the March 2022 Artist camp at Lake Dobson.
We hired all 5 of the Government Huts, and spent three days sketching, talking art, eating, getting to know one another, going for walks, playing cards, eating. It was an absolute joy!
The incement weather didn't dampen our enthusiasum, it added to the atmosphere and hightened the colours of the native flora.

Mountain Rocket, Bellendena montana

Cheeseberry, Cyathodes straminea and the Copper Leaf Snowberry, Gaultheria hispida

Three days without wi-fi!
We felt very fortunate to be surrounded by such beauty, that we had the freedom to experiance this place, that there was no war, we felt privlidged.

Hopefully I can find the time soon tosketch more nature studies and can't wait till the next artist camp!
