the challenge, coffee and carrot! Just a quick illustration today, before my coffee gets cold.
Introducing my one of two favourite studio mugs, koala mug by Freya Povey.
I did a colour match to a carrot and found that adding a hint of alizarin red to cadmium orange, resulted in a good carrot colour!
The only other colour used was black ink, applied with a dip pen.

For coffee, I used, Van Dyke Brown.

Like stepping stones, every new idea leads into another, the more you work the more ideas and stories form. Sometimes it is easy, other times it is a continuous exploration, re-working, scrapping off, starting again.
