SEWING ROOM

I love having lots of bits and bobs around me, particularly in my sewing room. As much as I may grumble about not finding a button or needle that I had a minute ago, I can't seem to work in an "everything in its place" environment.
It's organized for me, I need to be able to see my work huddled together, my jars of buttons have to be at arms reach.

There is some form of organization going on, red buttons are in the red button jar and blue buttons are in the blue button jar and so on. Scraps of interesting bits of fabric have their own container as do all the fabric off cuts that will be used for stuffing.

After a burst of activity, and the sewing room becomes too chaotic I will do a big tidy up which I find enjoyable because I get to rearrange my sewing paraphernalia.

My sewing table, art dolls in progress.
A little collection of sock darning mushrooms, one of which belonged to my great grandmother in Austria.
Vintage buttons and ric - rac, old spools of thread, stored inside a wooden paint box.
My favourite tiny objects, a frozen Charlotte, porcelein thimble and a paper heart shape container from my grandmother.
Some Ann Wood little dolls in progress, I;m making these for my grand-niece!
